APPROVAL OF THE ARTS INSPIRED GRANT PROPOSAL TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION FOR ELIGIBLE SARASOTA COUNTY SCHOOLS
Description
COMPETITIVE: Grant funds of $909,665 will provide intensive, sustained professional development opportunities for arts and classroom educators to develop and enhance standards-based arts education and integrate arts instruction with core academic area content. Eligible schools are those in which 50% or more of the children enrolled are from low-income families.
Recommendation
That the School Board of Sarasota County approve the Arts Inspired grant proposal.
